Gallery - "Sculptural Work in Glass"

The Glass Bead Totem Sculptures are created by flameworking soda lime glass to form each individual glass bead.  Sometimes the process of glassworking inspires a title or theme of the sculpture; while other times the stacking of the beads created during a work series, inspires the title.  Each sculpture consists of 5 or 6 beads and stands approximately 6 inches high with a wooden base of approximately 3 inches in diameter.  The beads can be stacked in any order that the buyer wants to stack them after they have been purchased by him.

The rubber o-ring gasket at the top of the steel pin of the sculpture is for packaging and traveling purposes.  It may be removed upon display of the Glass Bead Totem Sculpture at its final destination or kept on for security reasons.  Initially, this also shows the artist’s intended order of stacking.
